3X3 Unites is committed to empowering vulnerable young people who may face issues such as long-term poverty, debt, anxiety, depression, disadvantaged situations, loneliness, isolation, and obesity. We do this by teaching them skills and providing support that aids in their personal and professional development, in the broadest sense of the word.
The 3X3 Unites Ecosystem
To achieve these goals, offerings and development in all aspects of our ecosystem are essential. This ecosystem illustrates how employment, players, events and activities, and the courts all play an important role and influence each other in facilitating the journey from "the streets to the top."
The Ambitions of 3X3 Unites
100 Local 3X3 Unites Communities
By 2028, 3X3 Unites aims to have developed around 100 local communities to offer vulnerable young people perspective.
750 New 3X3 Leaders Per Year
In these 100 communities, 3X3 Unites will train 750 new 3X3 Leaders annually, with at least 75 3X3 Leader Courses each year.
1,000 Jobs for Youth
By 2028, 3X3 Unites will have created part-time job opportunities for at least 1,000 vulnerable young people.
10,000 Activations & Events
Together with local 3X3 Leaders, we will organize at least 10,000 local activities and events annually starting in 2025.
30,000 Unique Participants
These activations and events will engage 30,000 unique participants annually in public spaces.
25 new 3x3 Courts Per Year
We also aim to establish at least 25 new or thoroughly renovated 3X3 courts annually, driven by the wishes and development of local 3X3 Unites communities.

3X3 Leader Course
In 2016, 3X3 Unites launched our first official 3X3 Leader Course. Since then, this has become the standard for teaching young people Life Skills and forming and activating local commun
Girls Only
In collaboration with Nike Made To Play, 3X3 Unites fights for inclusion and gender equality through our Girls Only programming.
From the Street to the Top
To provide our community with perspective, 3X3 Unites organizes an annual series of events that literally allow the community to develop as players (and professionals), from street tournaments to the world’s top level at the FIBA 3X3 World Tour Amsterdam Masters and the FIBA 3X3 Women’s Series.
Community Engagement Program
3X3 Unites is part of several large Community Engagement Programs (MDT) projects led by other key players. These partners include Stichting Life Goals and the Cruyff Foundation.
Within these projects, our goal is to offer as many Leader Courses as possible to vulnerable young people and support them in their development.
3X3 Unites Academy
From the hundreds of young people trained annually by 3X3 Unites, the 30 most talented individuals move on to the 3X3 Unites Academy. Here, these 3X3 Leaders are given the opportunity to develop and test their skills over 12 months in various specializations within the 3X3 Unites ecosystem.
Minds of Unites
3X3 Unites seeks to raise awareness about mental health by initiating online and offline conversations on sometimes difficult topics. We see that there are often still taboos around vulnerability, and we want to break them and eliminate stigma.
Empowered by 3x3
3X3 Unites, Streetball Copenhagen, 3X3 Academy Düsseldorf, and the Cologne Sports University have joined forces to scale up the social impact of 3X3.
International Development
3X3 Unites is eager to share its experience beyond borders. After short projects in the Antilles and Botswana, a long-term project in the UK, and collaborations with Denmark and Germany through Erasmus+, 3X3 Unites is actively seeking places where we can make long-term, step-by-step impact through our vision.
