3X3 Unites & Nike Made to Play
Together with Nike Made To Play, 3X3 Unites organizes activities to promote equality in sports for girls. Together, we train girls to become role models—our 3X3 Leaders. They organize activities throughout the year in Amsterdam, specifically for young girls. This allows them to move, play, and experience 3x3 basketball under the right guidance in a positive environment.

Our Mission
3X3 Unites and Nike Made to Play share the common mission of offering the same opportunities for boys and girls by providing more young girls with a safe space to move, play sports, and develop. Girls have different needs when it comes to sports. They have different expectations of a coach. A safe environment looks different for girls.
That's why 3X3 Unites trains girls every year to become 3X3 Leaders. These young women provide weekly 3x3 activities for girls aged 10 to 14. This ensures equal opportunities, regardless of gender or geographic influences.
Our Role Models
We understand the impact that positive role models can have on a child's life. This is why 3X3 Unites trains talented young people to become 3X3 Leaders. As certified 3X3 Leaders, these girls organize 3x3 activities and events for their community. In doing so, they build local communities. By providing a safe space for young girls to come together, they create a place where they can be themselves and move freely.
For Parents
3X3 Unites is a Dutch foundation committed to the development of young people and children both in the Netherlands and internationally. Young people are trained to become 3X3 Leaders, after which they organize 3x3 activities and events throughout the country.
Our 3X3 Leaders provide a safe environment for your child. All of this is supported by a professional organization and coordinators who are there for the children and ensure the quality of our offerings.
Additionally, we work closely with NOC*NSF, the National Basketball Association, local clubs, and welfare organizations. 3X3 Unites is also a member of Centrum Veilige Sport.

Gender Equality in Sports
Equality between women and men is a fundamental principle of the European Union. Yet, there is still a significant gender inequality in sports. Women are underrepresented in governing bodies, coaching teams, and the media, across all fronts.
Through sports, girls gain self-confidence and learn to solve problems. Sports help develop healthy children who grow into healthy adults. Sports eliminate the stressors that arise when young people face extreme stress at home or within their community.
That’s why 3X3 Unites and Nike Made to Play are working to promote gender equality in sports.
